Read another classic in the canon of GREAT world literature. In the satire “Master and Margarita” Bulgakov uses fantastical characters to depict Moscow life without freedom living under Stalin. A very complex masterpiece that brings together three novels in one.

When remembering the time that has passed since I

When remembering the time that has passed since I talked to James (lost on 9-11) I prefer to use weeks rather than years. The time feels less for some reason. The specific day and year when it will be 10,000 days is saved in my heart. The concept of "weeks" led to the discovery of Oliver Burkeman's book "Four Thousand weeks." He too prefers to focus on "weeks" when writing about the average life span today - 4000 weeks! Of the many wise points made, I especially liked his thought that "What you pay attention to will define for you, what reality is. Your experience of being alive consists of the sum of everything you pay attention to. At the end of life, looking back, whatever compelled your attention from moment to moment is simply what your life will have been." I think it is wise to guide not to set our happiness on a time to come in the future - but right now wherever we are because now is all we really have. The future will keep moving beyond our grasp.
